This is Mr. Belvedere.
This goes between the door and the bumper, on the good side.
Show me some thing worse.

Wow, good one. Mine didn’t come off in one piece, but the entire tail panel of my first BMW 2002 was made of Bondo that was 1/4 to 1/2" thick. Then there was a buddy’s ‘59 Sprite that had an entire door and a lot more made of Bondo.

Can’t. I broke out my own 3' rear quarter section of Bondo in chunks, and the 4.5' fill on the front edge of the roof was also really thin.

There was some metal window screen helping this hold together. Old “white lightning” filler, which is from long before my time. I’ve seen lots of it though, given my history of fixing people’s projects that are not on their original rust. Original rust is much easier to fix than it is the second or third time around. Even good rust work don’t last forever.

The entire bottom of the spare tire well in my e30 was Bondo. Still don’t know how it was structural

Can’t say I can top that if that is solid filler...
I’ve come across some nasty stuff, but never been able to preserve it.

filler, birdscreen and a heavy, cement-like filler that I assume is a non-automotive fibreglass of some kind, never seen it before. body last done about 1980.

this is summer number two. gonna get rockers, door corners, trunk extensions, cowl repair, and floor work to fill the holes the 4 new pans didn’t cover. maybe next summer start putting back together. 2 door quarters are available, so there’s hope....... I also told him to get a better one and make it purple with red interior. But he loves this car, and I understand. Will still be an expensive visit.

In high school a friend had an ‘81 Jeep CJ-7 that he bought for $200. The entire tub and front fenders were basically bondo and cardboard. In a fit of rage while working on it, he punched right through it with his fist.
He put a couple grand into “fixing” it, before he gave up and sold it for ... $200.
